Welcome to the Freiburg Master program Study of Religion

Study of Religion researches religion as part of culture. It draws on many approaches that it shares with the social sciences, ethnology, philology, history, philosophy and other subjects. The Freiburg program specializes on cultural studies and theory of sciences, particularly the question of the influence of global and overall social change through the practices of neoliberalism and late modern forms of subjectivity. Historical and philological knowledge can be acquired in courses from the cooperating subjects.
