In Heft 2/2008 der Zeitschrift neue caritas (109. Jahrgang) mit dem Titelthema "Teilhabe. Ich bin dabei" erschien ein Beitrag von Prof. Dr. Klaus Baumann unter dem Titel: "Wettbewerb ist wichtig, aber nicht alles" (Seiten 15-18).

Visitors from China

On 17th July, 2007, a chinese group of visitors came to the section of Caritas Science and Christian Social Work in the Faculty of Theology at Freiburg Albert-Ludwig-University. They were accompanied by the sinologist and expert from the China Center at St. Augustin, Ms. Katharina Wenzel-Teuber, and by Mr. Johannes Scholz, member of the board of the China Center as representative of Caritas Germany.

A Discussion about the Catholicity of Caritas, the Caritas-Profile of the Church, and about Caritas Science

... as a specific theological discipline was moderated by the chief editor of the magazine "caritas in nrw", Markus Lahrmann, engaging the Diocesan Director of Caritas in Münster, Heinz-Josef Klessmann, Prof. Dr. Isidor Baumgartner (Passau), Prof. Dr. Herbert Haslinger (Paderborn), and Prof. Dr. Klaus Baumann.

Lecture at the orthodox Faculty of Theology at Sofia University

"History and Goals of Caritas Science" was the title of the lecture held by Prof. Baumann on invitation of the orthodox Faculty of Theology "St. Kliment Ohridsky" at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria, on 14th February, 2006.
